REV. JONATHAN CHURHO LEE has been appointed the pastor for Immanuel UMC. Rev. Churho Lee with wife, Dayeon Kim and sons, Caleb Jaesung and Nathan Jaehoon come to us from Le Center UMC where he served as lead pastor since 2005. He has a Master of Divinity from Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota and has felt the call into ministry as a life-time minister and missionary. Rev. Churho Lee shared, "I have prepared for my ministry not only for a church but also for the world, which God has shown me as His mission field."

Deb Cupryna was Immanuel's previous Adminsitrative Assistant back in 1998 and then moved in mid-1999 with her husband, John to pastor a church in Independence, Iowa for 9 years, and then a church in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota for 2 years. She now is back residing in Maple Grove and once again found her home at Immanuel UMC. She comments, "It's great to be back and see God's blessing in the church with a new addition, which was only a blueprint in 1998!"
Deb grew up in the United Methodist Church attending and being confirmed at Church of Peace in Richfield, Minnesota. Her marriage of 37 years all started with the ceremony at Asbury United Methodist Church in Minneapolis. Then , as a youth there were many summers spent at Camp Koronis (church camp) in Paynesville, Minnesota.
Deb has grown children (David (Sasha), Sarah, and Jacob) and four grandchild (Olive, Corbin, Alyse and Eliana) all who reside in Maple Grove. Previous ministries include Children's Ministry Director, Senior Care Ministries and Women's Ministries. When time allows for a hobby, she loves to do creative projects and of course, spend time with her family.
Leanne La Fave has been a member of Immanuel UMC her entire life and is proud to call Immanuel her "home church" and has attended here all her life. She has been playing piano and organ at Immanuel over 35 years playing for our Sunday service and also accompanying the choir which practices each Wednesday evening from September through May. She also plays for special services, weddings, funerals and special music at Immanuel. Leanne is available to play piano for weddings and funerals both at Immanuel as well as other venues. She has also enjoyed playing for the Cross Community Players productions in the past.
Leanne holds other positions outside the church as well, working full-time for R&M Manufacturing Company for 22 years doing purchasing, estimating and customer service. She also is a licensed realtor with Edina Realty serving the community for over 12 years!
Leanne has three grown children (Tonya, Holly, and John) who all have children of their own making Leanne a very proud grandma of five! Leanne's fourth child, daughter Jessie sadly lost her courageous battle with cancer in 2009 at age 24 and is a presence that will forever be deeply missed by not only her immediate family, and countless friends, but also her extended family at Immanuel.
Leanne's favorite pastime is babysitting her grandchildren. She enjoys playing piano, flower gardening and walking.
